About Us

What began as a passion in the 2010s has blossomed into an idea; Bringing Youth Closer to Nature. That is why Camp Carolinian’s director, Derek Ford, completed his teaching degree in British Columbia, in order to work on integrating youth into lifelong learning that focused on relationship building with peers and the great outdoors.

Our program focuses on building positive relationships, youth will explore connections to their community through the use of the Hungry Hallow trail system and other community driven initiatives that provide people with helpful services.

At Camp Carolinian, giving back to the community is a focal point of our program. In this, Camp Carolinian pledges to donate $10 from every camper registered for summer 2023 to the Carolinian Canada Coalition to support one of the most significant and diverse ecospheres in our country.
