About Us
Concerned with rising food prices and the increasingly unsustainable & fragile nature of our food supply with it’s associated carbon footprint, we started looking into growing some of our own produce. Initially discouraged due to the short growing season in Canada requiring months of work before realizing an overabundance, hopefully, of produce in the Fall, we searched for alternatives.
We started growing microGREENs in March 2019 after discovering they could be grown indoors all year round - their exceptionally high nutritional value and deliciously fresh flavours were an added bonus! Discovering what we were doing, people started asking if they could buy some and so, FIT*microGREENs was born.

Our present paradigm of industrial food production depends heavily on harmful chemical pesticides, fertilizers & long-distance shipping. As more & more realize this unsustainable model is detrimental to both humans' and the planet’s health, a conscious shift is underway to seek out local sources of non-GMO, chemical free, organic fresh produce.
As the COVID-19 Pandemic has brought into sharper focus the fragility of our food supply & harvesting systems, this trend is accelerating.
No longer a fringe movement, an awakening of the connection between health and food has people embracing locally grown, fresh produce as the foundation of their healthy lifestyle.
