Regarding the COVID-19 vaccination.
Canada's National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI) recommends that prophylactic oral analgesics (pain pills) or antipyretics (fever reducing pills) should NOT be routinely used BEFORE OR AT the time of vaccination.
Oral analgesics or antipyretics MAY BE considered for the management of adverse events (eg. pain or fever), if they occur AFTER vaccination.
The reason for the recommendation - you want a strong immune response to make anti-bodies to fight COVID-19.
On January 12, 2021, the Ontario government announced a stay-at-home order as part of its previously enacted Reopening Ontario (A Flexible Response to COVID-19) Act.
As cited under the Act's Health Care and Social Services Section 53, please be informed this order does not prohibit chiropractic clinics from operating. Ontarians are able to travel to access chiropractic care and other regulated health care services.
Chiropractors will continue to follow PPE and COVID-19 health and safety precautions to assure the safety of patients, staff and the general public.
