The best Patel de Nata and best coffee for those who know coffee.
Good variety of fresh bread daily.
Friendly competent staff who treat everyone with respect. Slow down and spend a few minutes in this place. Strangers greet each other, people hold the door for each other, a really good vibe.

I just dropped in to pick up some lunch. The place is getting busy because there were a few people ahead of me. Some old guy stepped in in front of me but I wasn't going to complain about that. But what I would like to bring to someone's attention is about the staff. The service is good. I'm talking about the back room staff that like to come out and check out the inventory. Not on this occasion, but another time I was in the shop, an elderly lady came out who seemed to be annoyed with everybody and everything which cast a negative vibe on the whole place. i didn't want to look at her. But on this occasion, a different woman, came out of the back room and started to check on the pastries in the display case. She started rearranging the pastries left on one tray so the display would look a little better I guess. Meanwhile the woman behind her was patiently waiting for her to finish her rearrangement of the last four pastries on the tray, while I waited impatiently while my lunch hour was running out very quickly. I just think that this shows that we all need to be aware of ourselves because we are not in this world or this bakery all alone. Self awareness is a very good thing. The other thing I might offer is since you have great bread and are already offering sandwiches, why not make up a few sandwiches so that people can just pick one and move on quickly. If you want something different you can ask for that too. I hope you find this helpful. Thank you for reading this.

Fantastic Bakery! I purchase the Portuguese tarts for all holiday dinners the family loves them. The Halloween Apples are a big hit with the grandchildren, as well as the "holiday" themed cookies. Great customer service as well.

Today I ordered what promises to be an amazing birthday cake for my sister’s 65th birthday. I would still be in a quandary about what to do without Kathleen’s wonderful advice. She is amazingly talented and I cannot wait for my sister to see and taste her beautiful artistry. Also their other pastries and sandwiches are delicious.

I have been going to this bakery for years and the service has not improved even after many complaints. The staff is slow and most of the time not please to serve.
Today took the cake, I ordered 24 large buns and didn't feel comfortable counting in front of the servers HOWEVER when I got home they packed 23. I was charged for 24, so do I go back for another bun? How ridiculous is this? I am totally disappointed in the integrity and self respect of of the employees.

Mistakes happen and we were extremely busy on the Friday before the long weekend so it was probably an honest miscount. We typically do not box buns(as per your request) .

Customer Service at its finest. Today we conveinently ordered a Portuguese Chicken Dinner over the phone, as my newborn cried in the background. Needless to say, when we curbside picked up our delishous meal and got home we had a thoughtful surprise. A personalized note and yummy treats for the kiddos.... We drive from Brampton to order pastries that we call little pieces of heaven at this location. For Father’s Day however (today) we were a little disappointed. We ordered their “Millionaire’s Cake” thinking we would taste the abilities of their chef since the site states they make everything in-house from fresh ingredients. To our disappointment, upon opening the box, it’s a bought-out cake form Dufflet! Well we happen to be reoccurring Dufflet customers and had that cake for a birthday party at the end of May. No one ever told us that sick cake would be from another company, or we’d have ordered there ourselves. We genuinely wanted to taste their version of the cake.

This place is outstanding when it comes to customer service and quality of food. I have been to the bakery while in Canada and wanted to send some goodies to my parents who are seniors in Georgetown (they don’t think they are haha.) I live in the US and placed an order over the phone. Kathleen went over and above to make sure the order was delivered to my parents in a safe way during this unprecedented time!

I have a weakness for pastries and bread and I have always searched for a decent bakery and always been disappointed Walked into this place and atmosphere was quaint and inviting. I was tended to by a very welcoming woman. Answered all my questions and was very patient with us. I was amazed by the pastries and breads. I wanted one of everything! Once I got home and tasted everything, I was stunned. I have found my bakery. The quality of the tiramisu was amazing and fresh. The tarts don't last in our home. There are so many types of pastries and breads. All made in-store. You can see the care that goes into each item. We have returned many times and no matter what we get it tastes like it just came out of the oven! They are cheaper than most places too. This place is part of my weekly shopping now. Love this bakery. Next time I'm staying for a coffee.

Tried out the bakery for the first time today. We ordered sandwiches and some desserts.

The Brie sandwich was good but overpriced - and there was they forgot the pear on both our sandwiches as stated in the description. A bit disappointing for $8 sandwiches.

However, the lemon squares and cannoli were delicious.

Would skip the sandwiches next time but would go back for the desserts. Also, would be helpful if the desserts had prices on them.

HANDS DOWN one of the best Portuguese tarts in the GTA! We have mainly gotten an assortment of their desserts for the past 5 years for our house parties and have never been disappointed. Service is a bit slow at times but always friendly. Pastries are always fresh and Georgetown location is very clean.

I ordered a cake for my son's 4th birthday from Traditional Taste and it was absolutely amazing, the best cake I've ever had! At the bakery, the staff helped recommend a flavour and it was a huge hit. My son who is not a cake kid, absolutely loved this cake with fresh fruit and whipped cream inside. I also ordered pastries and everyone raved about them. Highly recommend!

I ordered a cake for my baby shower this weekend . My sister gave me good reviews after using them for all her occasions for the past few years. She called them to remind them and guess what they forgot about my order ! They rushed with the cake , it wasnt anything i asked for at all .The design is wrong the colours are wrong and it was all worth 190.00$ !!! What a waste of money for a over priced cake !! I will never buy from here again ! I will also tell my family and friends to stay away from here!! Im more upset at the fact my sister whated to surprise me with a beautiful cake and it ended up being horrible!! Thanks for nothing !!

Hi Ryan, thank you for your review. All of our bread and buns are made fresh multiple times a day at our Brampton store. We receive fresh bread in Georgetown by 8:15, 12:30 and 4pm daily. We make all our bread from scratch so we do sometimes experience slight delays in delivery. Traditional Taste Bakery has been proudly serving Georgetown and the surrounding community with delicious fresh bread and baked goods for 11 years, and will continue to do so for many more.
